About us
ÖKS: Bringing Nature to Your Wardrobe
Our Story
For four centuries our family carried bales of hand‑woven cotton and silk along the old trade routes. Over time, synthetic fibres swept the market and that chapter closed. In 2019, two siblings—determined to stitch the past to the future—revived the craft under a new name: OKS.Fashion
We believe the clothes you love shouldn’t cost the Earth. Every collection is our answer to the question we ask before cutting a single pattern: How would our ancestors treat the planet if they were starting today?
Why We Came Back
Today nearly 70 % of the world’s clothes are spun from polyester, a plastic made from oil. We’re here to change that—one garment at a time.
What We Make
We weave organic cotton, hemp, banana, orange and other plant fibres into soft, breathable fabrics that return to the earth at the end of their life. You’ll never find polyester on our looms or in your wardrobe.
How We Work
We cut and sew each piece by hand in small batches. Slow production means no dead stock and room for the tiny variations that make a garment yours alone. Our partners are family‑run mills that share our respect for fair wages, clean water and safe workplaces.
Giving Back
A share of every sale funds children’s education in rural India and supports inclusive community spaces in Rome. Luxury feels better when it lifts people up as well as style.
Our Promise
- Natural first – only plant‑based or responsibly sourced animal fibres, never synthetics.
- Clean chemistry – water‑based dyes and biodegradable finishes, no heavy metals.
- Fair work – living wages, safe conditions and full transparency from field to hanger.
- Inclusivity – we celebrate every identity across our team and supply chain.
Slip into an OKS piece and you’ll feel the difference—cool against the skin, light on the planet, rich with a story that began long before polyester and will outlast every passing trend.
